It's convenient considering that McCain has missed something like the last 22 votes about the economy.

But it's a political stunt, how can you see it differently. Just like saying that the RNC will be small as a hurricane passes by a thousand miles away.

That's exactly what WONT happen.

McCain is currently requesting that the presidential debates happen on the day that the VP debates were originally scheduled for. That would result in the VP debates being postponed indefinitely.

It almost seems like this is a calculated move to keep Palin out of the debates. Even her pre-written speeches make her sound like an idiot. I shudder to think what she'd say if put on the spot...

This happens every year. In 2004 Michael Badnarik and David Cobb were arrested (in St. Louis I believe) when they tried to get into the debates.

As much as I hate Bob Barr I think he should be in the debates, as well as any candidate who is on enough ballots to win the electoral college (this includes Nader, Baldwin (Constitution), and McKinney (Green))

Nader tried to get into a 2004 debate too, he got a student to give up his ticket but when he got to the door they wouldnt let him in.
