You harping on the word should all of a sudden simply doesn't make any sense since every politician uses it in generally the same ways because they think you should vote for them.
For fuck sake that's what I'm saying is the problem in the first place.
I'm not promoting McCain, I'm expressing frustration fow how things are.
Do you really think any of them has a solution? McCain's big promise is to catch Bin Ladin, oh that's a good idea!
Obama is going to lower the sea level and save the planet.
Wow. I can't hardly make up my mind here!

Aww the hypocracy, delightful nectar that lifts my heart.
Don't care about what I say on the issues?
Then why have you been responding to my posts, not only in this thread but in others. You come here to talk, but talk about what...pinnapples?
Telling you what other people think. Threatening you with links?
I provided you links because you are obviously ignorant of the great amount of people in America driving on under-inflated tires. I use links for facts, those pesky things you must not bother much with.
Obama fanatic?
I questioned you because you misrepresented what he said, as did others of the media. I'm not supporting Obama, I'm supporting the truth of things. If you said McCain's for racism, I'd argue it. Don't go on apply your labels to me.
See what I mean? What did you even say there.
And I've been responding for the sake of clarity. These are my opinions.
Instead of sharing yours, you tell me how mine are wrong.
I know what Obama said and how he meant it, I just don't fucking like it.

I'm not speaking of McCain or Obama specifically but of any politician. Politicians run on campaigns of how they think things should be whether it is preserving the status quo or shaking things up they run on the campaign of should be.
Guns should be restriced, guns should be. We should fix global warming, we should ignore global warming as though it's fake. We should lower taxes, we should raise taxes. We should have a strong defense, we should reduce defense expenditures. We should grant illegal immigrants amnesty, we should should those wetbacks as soon as they set foot on our nation.
Whatever your political ideology there is a should/should not aspect to it.

Yes exactly. Someone always knows better than me and what I should do.
But the people who get to decide how say healthcare works are people who know nothing about healthcare. They just know how to be politicians.
Yet they say how things should be? I think that's a bad idea.
I'm trying not to be cynical, but it's starting to look more and more appealing.
I mean who are you going to vote for anyway? I'm not going to vote McCain just to screw Obama, but I don't see anyone to actually vote for. So wtf?

I responded because you called me some Obama fanatic, telling me what I am or what I sound like.
I don't care what you think or where you are wrong. Your beliefs really mean nothing to me. It's when you misrepresent the news to justify your beliefs, as you have done in the beginning of this thread (such as saying saracastically that everyone was driving on underinflated tires before Obama said something, and now they aren't). You come on here and express your opinions and if you act in a hypocritical way I'll point it out, simple as that...For clarity's sake.

Look, you mentioned the comment and how it was being taken out of context.
I was trying to give you a genuine reason as to why it rubbed more than a few people the wrong way. Which is also why I brought up the "we can't drive our SUVs.." comment which did the same thing.
Not liking what someone says doesn't just mean you don't get it.
I told you how it was perceived by me. I know it's an accurate comment, and I know it's good advice. I've known that for a very long time.
So I don't like they guy running for the job suggesting people do something many of us already are as a "solution". I think he was just appealing to people who have disdain for what they see as "American Decadence", which seems to be his base.
And I said you sound like a fanatic, it's not an accusation. You do.
You never commented further as you were too busy trying to convince me I'm wrong.

To clarify, my argument was that there are people who don't know this. For support, I offered evidence to show that I wasn't just saying an opinion or hollow words but the conclusion of a study performed by the US Dept of Energy.
And I said you sound like a fanatic, it's not an accusation. You do. Perhaps, but of course that's your interpretation. What can I say to that? It was just funny to me how you can criticize me for saying what you believe, and then really do the same by connecting me with Obama, and Obama fanatics nonetheless.
The only fanatic I wish to be associated with is the Philly Phanatic, because that's just some badass green thing.

And I'll say this because it warrents mentioning.
Believing that inflating tires reduces gas consumption is not a fanatical belief. It's simple common sense. Believing that everybody should keep to themselves, shut their mouths and not talk to you about what's wrong with the world is a fanatical belief.
I'm sure you are going to bitch about it, but that's how it is.

No, you're missing my point.
Yes it's a factual statement, but it's also a useless one.
The context in which it was used offered nothing other than advice. Is that what the leader of the free world does, give you tips?
It's not really a big deal, but you suggested anyone who didn't find it inspiring was just misrepresenting it, or taking it out of context. Well, that's not the case.
The only reason I commented on it was to give you another view of it hoping to show you how it can be taken as it is, but still piss people off.
I think journalists try to gather from multiple sources, no?
And I don't mean to imply people should keep their mouth shut, I'm talking about people who suggest you do what they do.
Like a vegan who chooses to be one because he feels eating animals is wrong.
So far so good. But when that motherfucker starts telling me to stop eating meat because it's bad for my soul or some shit, fuck him.
Environmentalists who walk to work, drive hybrids, or whatever else they do in the name of saving the planet and being green, great. But when they start telling me to, or saying shit like "the government should make people drive hybrids" etc...well fuck you.
Being green is a fine idea if that's what you wanna do. So do it and shut the fuck up, leave people alone.
Obama has made a great many statements like "we can't drive our SUVs.." in the name of what other countries think of us. The problem is, he's in politics. When politicians think they know better than you, you get legislation.
Do you get me?
