So Hillary acts like any woman who doesn't vote for her is a gender traitor, as though she is somehow above being judged by her merits rather than her vagina, or as South Park called it, her snizz. She refuses to drop out even though at this stage the only reason she has narrowed the gap at all is because Obama hasn't played the game she was trying to set up.

Meanwhile Obama who is half-black doesn't run so much on the issue of race, though he does address it. There are certainly black voters who will vote for him purely on account of his skin tone. His campaign by and large is based on whathe wants to do though and those that respond to his campaign seem more inclined to vote for him based on that rather than his skin tone. The contrary of course is Clinton who's main support comes from women who don't care about anything other than that she is a woman.

So there is blind loyalty on either side though so far I haven't built as strong a case for Obama's supporters.

Even if Obama's supporters didn't like Obama or Clinton they'd still vote Democrat just to elect a democrat. How Clinton says it's important to just elect a woman Obama's supporters dodge this issue in t's entirety by saying it's just important to elect a democrat. Truth be told I'm really hoping Obama gets the nomination and wins the election by a landslide right now. I agree with him on some things though I fall into the trap I listed earlier where I want anyone but the GOP 100 Years in Iraq McCain.

It's quite possible that our electoral system is :rrod:

We should all be able to just fucken vote no confidence in all these idiots and start the whole thing over until someone with a shred of integrity steps in.

The sad thing is, I don't think it's an arena that anyone who values truth would step in to.

I agree. I feel slightly empty voting for a candidate that I only agre with on a few issues over one who I disagree with on many issues.

I'd still like to see Ron Paul up there but we knew that wouldn't happen. I wonder when the next time will be that we have a President where those who elected him/her? actually like him.

We got a lot of bleeding to do before that kind of healing starts to look appealing.

I hope I'm wrong.

I will say that I heard an interview with some old hags on NPR one day and they were saying that the girls basically my age didn't even know the opportunity we were wasting and basically how we were going against all of the work they did in the 60's, 70's...etc to gain women's independence and rights if we didn't vote for Hillary. It royally pissed me off.

That's the problem a lot of guys have with popular feminism. They basically get told that a woman's vagina is her merit and so it doesn't matter what she says or what she does so long as you giver her an opportunity to not matter. As though it was enough to sail by in life and worthy of claiming the status of equality over.

I understand what you're saying. It's like modifying the requirements for firefighters so that women will qualify. Guess what? I don't want to be drug down the stairs of my apartment. I want some big, strong dude (or woman if she can do it) to carry me down.

Modern feminism seems to overlook one of the more popular facts of our times:

Women like men. Be one.

MsThang

be one what?

be one what?

Feminism makes being a man seem like a crime.

You can be a little metrosexual, but not a man.

I'm saying women like men, so be a man.

Fuck all this PC shit.

I wasn't telling you to be something.

oh I get it now. I honestly just didn't understand.

You're right though. They don't write romance novels about pussy dudes who don't like to take care of women and shit. They write them about big, strapping men who want to protect and rescue you. I don't mean to say women need a man to rescue them, but whatever, I don't know how to make my point clearly. Like, I take out the garbage if I have to or if it's full and Eddie's not going to be home for awhile, but, if I know he's going to be home anytime remotely soon, I leave it by the front door for him to bring down......

I think I know what you mean thang, I think feminism often takes the beauty out of women. If they want to be just like men they are losing a lot of things that were so special about women.

I also agree with zen's comment on what it's doing to men in general too, overall it's making everyone into this boring mediocre entity.

It's fun to play your "role" in a relationship, I dig it.

Of course just because I'm the man doesn't mean I don't cook, but she sure cooked better. It was just fun that I could be the man, do the heavy stuff some of which she really physically couldn't do, and some just cuz it was dirty or heavy or whatever, it's good clean fun goddamnit.

Men and women are great together, they can even sexually fuck each other.

Well the whole idea of feminism to me is that we deserve equal rights. And in that I do consider myself a feminist. I deserve equal pay, rights to vote...etc. But equal treatment doesn't mean special treatment.

Yeah, equal doesn't equate to demonizing the other component though.

And equal rights don't mean we're the same.

Modern day Feminism wouldn't agree.
