Would it be torture if it was used on Americans?

a useful and important interrogation method.

Why don't you just piss on the constitution Rogues? And give up all of your eighth amendment rights while you're at it?

So if an Iranian was pouring water over an American's face until he thought he was drowning it's just an interrogation tool?

You've looked up what torture is defined as right? I mean it's part of the language you and I speak. It's important that while discussing it we are using the same definitions of the word.

Oh you meant internationally? Either way I still agree that it's torture.

So, if someone captures US soldiers, you think it's okay for them to be waterboarded Rogues? I'm sure you don't have any argument for that, but I'd like to know if you think you do.

Well I do not want to have a double standard. As you know I think it is useful. If I say it is not torture if we do it I can not say it is torture if they do it.

I can at least appreciate that about not having a double standard. I am curious what dictionary you would pull a definition of torture from where waterboarding would not be torture.

I dont think they would waterboard our guys. They uasually just cut their heads off and dump the bodies in the street. However that has not happened in a long time or at least we have not heard about it in the news.

You're not going to shock me into believing it isn't torture by mentioning decapitation. I don't agree with what they do, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with what we do.

I am not trying to shock you. I just dont see waterboarding as torture. Nor do I see playing loud music 24 hours a day, leaving the lights on all the time torture.
I do however see poking them with a hot iron or cutting them to leave scars as torture.

If it isn't torture than have it done to you.

I'm serious.

Waterboarding is drowning you but not killing you (but that could happen).

That could be an interesting political display.

Waterboard volunteers in a very public space. Invite people who say it isn't torture to have a seat and give it a go.

I wish it would be done. A group with a lot of money and publicity could bring attention to it.

write an email to MSNBC or CNN then.

Neither of those news agencies give a crap about waterboarding. FNC has a stronger stance on it.

I'm not talking about corporate media. Just an activist group with funding that could provide their own media coverage/website/blog that could bring attention to it.

I hear about it on Fox quite a bit. Write them. We can do a pay per view thing for it. All the money would go into the veterans fund.
