I don't know how much if at all you have been hearing about the British Military in Afghanistan, but we deployed 6,000 men in April into the Helmand province in the South of the Country, and was meant to be a peacekeeping operation, the defence secretary even went on record saying there was a chance that a shot wouldn't be fired. More like the complete opposite, our bases have literally been sieged by the Talaban and British Soldiers have been engaged 24/7 with them in trench warfare. The British forces are severely overstretched with the lease amount of soldiers on British Soil since the 1920s- most of the men out there are new recruits, with the crappest gun ever created which overheats and jams etc. etc. (SA80) and are beng deployed without body armour. We have been losing men nearly everyday for the last three months, and have lost almost twice as much since April than 3 1/2 years in Iraq. Even above all that, reports are coming out of the British Army tonight that we have broken the Talaban's back in the South and will have them on the run (though there are people questioning this).

Keep it up boys, come home soon.
