I also just bought a 1600 watt 4-channel amp for my car.

So is this with money you earned, or is this Mommy and Daddies account.
Very nice TV though.

Meh, for the kind of money that thing cost you could have gotten a 42" monitor/TV. (http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=235411)

I don't think you'd need a 42" TV in a dorm room Darth LOL.

Hate to keep rubbing it in, but here's an even better deal. (http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_1/601-9012222-5408113?%5Fencoding=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000A6KQVW)
it's okay if you keep rubbing it in, cause someone out there is busy rubbing it out
Darth LOL

well it's a $2000 MSRP, but they have it at Circuit City for $1499

I didn't want a 42"
It would be okay if I was going to sit 7-8 feet away from the TV, but I have limited space and at the 3-4 feet away that I will be sitting a 42" would look like crap.
I went to best buy and circuit city and looked at all of the 26" LCD tvs. the sony had the best picture.
the samsung and sharp models were pretty nice too.

Capisce.
The Sony's have a really good picture, and with the kind of cramped quarters you're talking about, it's understandable that you would go with a smaller screen.
