That niggling feeling in the back of your head that Nintendo wasn't talking to you with their E3 press conference? Good news: It wasn't your imagination! This review will contain spoilers, so if you want to not know anything about the movie this is this short, non-spoiler review.
- It was pretty good, but not as good as the first three –
It’s taken me a while to write this, I guess I thought I had to think about it before writing the review, but then totally forgot about the movie all together.
The opening vision of Kingdom is the Paramount logo fading into the shape of a molehill. If you remember the opening of Raiders of the Lost Ark, it was the Parmount logo fading into a real mountain. Don’t make a mountain of a molehill. Geddit? Geddit? … Me neither. I got a bit distracted in what Lucas or Spielberg were trying to say. Don’t make too big a deal of this movie? Well I went to the red carpet premiere in Sydney last night to see this movie. The actors who play Caspian and the eldest boy as well as the director were there for the intro.
As for the movie, well I didn't really like the first Narnia film, and still haven't really read the books since I was a kid. I liked this one a lot better though, even though the story I guess is a bit simpler and less interesting than the first one, I thought it was more enjoyable
It's starts with an intro to Prince Caspian, a human boy who is a member of some Spanish immigrant race that got off the boat in Narnia. And now they have a big kingdom and rule over it. The also hate all the freakish people, like talking animals, midgets, minotaurs, etc and have drove them into hiding.
